Community Cleanup Day

Due to COVID -19 restrictions this event  has been canceled

The 30th annual $5.00 Dump Day held on June 8, 2019 was a huge success.

670 vehicles passed through the line at South Tahoe Refuse and Recycling  to unload unwanted items.

The Mattress Recycling Council recycled 165 mattresses and we counted a total of 315 mattresses.

A big shout out to the group that came out from the California Conservation Corps, who worked hard all day helping unload items.

As part of the event, Clean Tahoe  offers curbside pickup of bulk items for senior and disabled residents in need. This year we did 22 curbside pickups equating to 9 enormous truckloads.

Community Cleanup Day is made possible in part by a generous grant from Vail Resorts’ EpicPromise program. Thank you Vail!  Additional sponsors include: South Tahoe Refuse & Recycling, Kiwanis Club of Lake Tahoe, Iron Mountain, Realty World, and the California Conservation Corps.
